Bradley Memorial Hospital
Bradley Memorial is a Parks repeat client. In 1991, under a Phase I contract, Parks completed the addition of two floors on an existing three-story building. This $5.5 million project required extensive safety precautions; and hospital construction expertise for the protection of the public. Also, Phase I included extensive remodeling to portions of the operating room suites on the second floor of the existing facility and the installation of a new five-story elevator tower between hospital wings.
Parks is currently working as construction manager/general contractor on site after having provided preconstruction services on a $22.7 million Phase II project. Here, too, great attention to public safety was necessary. This project is a construction manager at-risk arrangement, and includes a 311 car, parking garage, extensive site changes with new entrance boulevard, a new power house including a 650 foot tunnel under the existing hospital, building demolition, and construction of a new medical mall, women's center, and oncology suite.
